Almost BGN 600 thousand of funding is received by two of the projects under the scheme of Operational Program Science and Education for Smart Growth “Increasing the capacity of pedagogical specialists to work in a multicultural environment”, developed with consultative support under the Project Generation Facility. Preparations for the projects began in March with training in Sofia for representatives of civil society organizations working in the field of educational integration, including representatives of the two funded organizations – the Future Foundation – Rakitovo and the New Road Association – Hayredin.
Through the funded projects both organizations expand the current perimeter of their activities and plan to work with teachers from five administrative districts – Vratsa, Yambol, Razgrad, Haskovo and Pazardzhik, and the project of the New Road Association – Hayredin is implemented in partnership with the Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”. In the next 2 years over 450 pedagogical specialists, principals of educational institutions and educational mediators are expected to take part in the envisaged training activities under the projects and to enhance the school communities’ capacity for effective work in a multicultural environment.
